Mysticism is irrational knowledge; understanding which is the view of the common people (general). The mystical notion when associated with religion is knowledge (teachings or beliefs) about God obtained through meditation or spiritual practice, free from dependence on the senses and reason.
Mystical knowledge is knowledge that cannot be understood by reason, that is, the causal relationship that occurs cannot be explained rationally. This knowledge sometimes has empirical evidence but most of it cannot be proven empirically.
In Islam, which includes mystical knowledge is knowledge obtained through the path of Sufism. The knowledge obtained, for example, is covered in the terms ma'rifah, al-ittihad, or hulul. The knowledge of mukasyafah, is also the knowledge of myth in Sufism that is obtained not through the sense path or the way of reason.
In everyday life in society, various mystical examples are found, such as immunity. Immunity is seen as mystical knowledge because it cannot be explained by the logic of cause and effect. People can be immune because certain exercises and their work cannot be understood by the ratio. What the ratio cannot understand is the relationship of cause and effect or why. But this knowledge (immunity) can be proven empirically.

Mystical knowledge (actually mystical knowledge) is knowledge that is supra-rational but sometimes has empirical evidence. In other languages it can be described as meta-rational. This rational meta is a stage that shows the limitations of human thought, but the object of this limitation is still something rational.
In the context of the object of mystical knowledge, the nature of the object also refers to the meta-rational nature. The object in the meta-rational view is something that the human ratio cannot understand, but is empirical in nature. The results achieved are meta-rational.
Human reality as God's creation ultimately requires knowledge in understanding the process of human interaction with their human nature. The process of seeking knowledge can be translated through the senses, science, philosophy, and mysticism (belief).
